Communication Settings

There are now three ways of communicating with our host system:

1) Direct Internet Connection: If your company has full time Internet access such as
ISDN, DSL, Frame Relay or T-1, your system does not need to dial us anymore.
2) Existing Internet Dial-up Connection: This type of access requires your computer to
dial your Internet Service Provider (ISP).
3) Modem to Modem: If this is the communications you have been using, this
system will not be discontinued, but will be used as a back-up to the Internet access.


1) Direct Internet Connection

Select this option if you have full time
Internet access such as, T-1, Frame Relay,ISDN, DSL or ADSL. This option is onlyused your computer does not use a to access the Internet.

 2) Internet Dial-up Access
Select this option if your computer uses a modem to access the Internet through an Internet Service Provider such as AOL, Compuserve, MSDN or FreeInet. This option is only used your computer uses a modem to access the Internet.

3) Modem to Modem
Location & Device
This system uses the Windows 95, or Windows NT default modem. The system auto configures for your modem when the initial installation was performed.
Device: If you have more than one modem, you can select between them.
Location: If the default location on your computer dials a 1 before the telephone number, you will need to setup a specific location for CheckRep. Call the processing center (800-492-2794), we will help you
do this.

Hold DRT Line High
If your system dials but is having trouble connecting, check this box, it may help.
Number To Be Dialed
This is our host system telephone number.
Connect Time & Retries
These items must be Connect Time (60) Seconds and Retries (5). next page
