File Creation & Transmission

As your files are created, they will be specifically named.

File Prefix, ID and File Extension Header

The file name will contain the date the file was created. For example: SDA11112.RP1: SDA1 = Company identifier, 1112 = November 12 (the date file was created), RP1 = Re Presentment file and number 1 for this day. You may send as many as 9 (nine) files in one day. There is no limit to the amount of checks you may have in a file. If you have multiple locations, we will provide you with a separate file name for each location.

Results File Retrieval

Each time a file is sent to the EFT Network for processing, any available results files with your file I/D will be automatically downloaded to your system. If you do not have a file ready for transmission to the Network but want to check if any of the results files are available, simply select Utilities, then Transmit/Receive. The system will dial the Network and download any results files waiting. (Note: You do not have to check the "OK To Transmit" fields.)

Once a file(s) have been retrieved by your system, they will be automatically loaded into your database. You will then be able to print your reports and process the results files. next page
